Where is the love?

The lockout is over. We will once again head to the bars every monday or thursday night for some good ole' american football. I will have no shame wearing my Matthews jersey either. Every male, the rare females and last but not least the jersey chasers are celebrating tonight for our beloved football is back.
So every player will be waking up early to meet up with some teammates and start watching film and keeping in shape for the upcoming team camp preparing them for the upcoming season. Everyone will forget what it felt like during the past 4 1/2 months when we had to fathom the fact that there could be no football in the upcoming fall. The true question is was it worth it? Was wasting all that practice time and spending all that money on lawyers worth it?

In my opinion no. Rookies probably agree with me while veterans and current players are living the good life again.

Now that the rookies and their agents only have a four-year salary contract which puts the pressure on them to perform well. They aren't guaranteed millions. The veterans are the ones sitting pretty. The lockout agreement insured them a $1billion legacy fund for benefits, such as, health insurance for life. FOR LIFE. ALL THE PLAYERS ARE GETTING HEALTH INSURANCE FOR LIFE. I apologize for the caps I just wanted to get that bogus agreement across to you.

Now I understand this whole lockout issue was bound to happen but it just shows me how pathetic some people can really be. Whatever happened to playing a sport for the fun of it. I am sure the players love the game of football. I can relate I have been an athlete my entire life. Shit I just had major back surgery and it's still hard for me to make the decision not to come back. Athlete's fall in love with their sport. It's like a bad break-up when you stop playing. So I don't understand why people are arguing about the material benefits a player gets when the physical and emotional benefits should be enough. I suppose it's greed.

Your probably thinking I am dumb girl talking out of my ass but that sir is not true. I am very well versed in the sports world and I am a die hard Packer fan (cheesehead for life.) I too almost passed out when I heard about the lockout back in March. I was open-minded about the situation. I wanted to be a professional athlete once and now i know its just not in the cards for me. and yes I love my money. I am a girl duhh.

So when I call all the owners who took this to court pigs I am sorry if i offend you but you are getting paid to play for 90 minutes. Play your hardest and the fans will adore you. Play because you love it not because it is your job. That should come second. shoot even third.

1. Love of the game
2. Family
3. Money

Stop being selfish and do what you love because you love it. That is all.

Much love <3

Can I be a journalist?

Yes.
That is why I am applying for a spot on my school newspaper. Let's just see if the editor likes my style.
I would describe my style as honest but still creative. plus I am a chick. Females who like sports are 30% hotter than those who don't.

Cross your fingers,

Much love,

Update.

Wow. I suck at blogging. It's been what 2 months since the last post. Enough. I left you telling about my future back surgery. Now its history. Almost 2 1/2 months ago I went under the knife and dare I say I am in no pain to date. Long story short my surgeon is AMAZING. It may also be because of my age but I don't put all the recognition on that. I now have a stable vertebrae with 4 titanium screws and 2 rods which were put in right about my tail bone. O and I don't have a tail bone anymore. My doctor sawed it off to use in the mixture he put around the screws. Cool I know. Surprisingly I was required any physical therapy besides walking everyday which I did. I struggled for awhile not being able to do much since I was so active before the surgery. I do have to wear a huge black brace till august. Its sexy to say the least! All in all, I couldn't be happier with the way things turned out. This is the start of a pain free life.

Until I write again,

Much love <3
